This stuff will get old fast, so read on.
Thanksgiving week is right around the corner, which means more football across more stretches than ever before. By the time Sunday of Week 13 rolls around, we’ll have already seen eight teams in action thanks to three games on Thanksgiving Day, followed by another Black Friday contest. So, if you’re nervous about your team’s placement in this week’s power rankings, don’t worry. Things are about to start changing quickly.
Here are the latest 2024 power rankings (with Super Bowl odds from FanDuel Sportsbook).
NFL power rankings
1. Detroit Lions (10-1; ↔)
Super Bowl Odds: +300
Only a special class of team can go on the road, overcome a playoff game by 18 points and have it labeled as a great performance. That’s where the Lions are at this season. They make dominance seem routine.
2. Buffalo Bills (9-2; ↔)
Super Bowl Odds: +700
The cliche is that no matter when the bye week comes, it comes at the right time. But it’s still nice for the Bills to get some downtime before this three-game stretch against teams that are in the midst of the playoff chase.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (9-2; ⬆️1)
Super Bowl Odds: +650
The Birds have had good vibes for five or six weeks now, but a demolition of the Rams on national television announced that to the entire league. There aren’t many teams that can handle the amount of talent on this roster.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (10-1;⬇️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +500
If the Chiefs can’t beat Carolina without some last-second drama, a stress-free win may not be in the cards this season. This doesn’t mean they aren’t competitors, the results speak for themselves. But with eight of the 11 games down to the finish, you begin to wonder if the Chiefs will feel exhausted by all the pressure.
5. Baltimore Ravens (8-4; ⬆️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +700
The Ravens had such an insane drive that it never felt like they took the car out of second gear Monday night, and they still led by 400 yards and 30 points in the win. They’re insanely inconsistent, but there may not be anyone besides themselves who can stop them.
6. Minnesota Vikings (9-2; ⬆️1)
Super Bowl odds: +2100
It would be fair to criticize the fact that the Vikings lost control of a game in which they were leading by 14 points. But instead of harping on that, I was very encouraged by the way they dealt with adversity. Every time they needed big leadership in big moments, they delivered. This is the team that doesn’t blink.
7. Green Bay Packers (8-3; ⬆️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +1700
Breaking up the 49ers isn’t exactly a big deal Brooke Purdy, Trent Williams and Nick Bosa Don’t play the game, but you should still feel good about completely demoralizing a team that has caused them so much pain in recent years.
8. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3; ⬇️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +3000
It’s not entirely fair that the Steelers have to play a road game Thursday night in the middle of a snowstorm, but such is life in the AFC North. This was the type of game the Steelers prided themselves on being able to win, and they couldn’t pull it off. And the divisional road games have just begun, with a trip to Cincinnati on deck.
9. Seattle Seahawks (6-5; ⬆️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +5500
Gino Smith It’s been fun all season, and Jackson Smith Njigba He blossoms into a star. But what really stands out about the Seahawks’ winning streak is that their defense is starting to play like they’re being coached by one of the brightest defensive minds in football.
10. Los Angeles Chargers (7-4; ⬆️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +2500
Jim Harbaugh got an L from his big brother on Monday night, but I feel better about the Chargers than I did two weeks ago. They held on to overcome a resurgent Bengals offense, holding tight against one of the best teams in the league in Baltimore. I don’t think this is a Super Bowl contending team, but it’s a playoff-worthy team.
11. Denver Broncos (7-5; ⬆️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +5500
Becoming a good team is all about consistency. There was nothing noteworthy about the Broncos’ win in Las Vegas. But they rallied from the early deficit and earned a relatively stress-free win — their first road win against the Raiders in a decade. Not great, but being a good team means handling business.
12. Washington leaders (7-5; ⬇️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +5500
Looks like these guys need a bye week in the worst way. The offense had lost all its effectiveness and effectiveness, and the defense was not supposed to bear such a heavy burden. Can the Leaders stop the bleeding against Tennessee before they finally get a break?
13. Arizona Cardinals (6-5; ⬇️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +6000
It’s surprising how well the Seahawks can completely shut down the Cardinals’ run game. Without that, Arizona found no consistency on offense as it only managed two drives that covered more than 50 yards all day, both of which came in the fourth quarter. Some offenses, like Seattle’s, still manage to function despite being one-dimensional. I’m not sure the Cardinals are one of those.
14. Atlanta Falcons (6-5; ⬆️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +5000
Totally a two-game stretch for the Falcons after their bye week. A home game against the Chargers this weekend, followed by a head-to-head road trip Kirk Cousins“Old team in Minnesota. Two great opportunities to show us they’re worth taking seriously.”
15. Miami Dolphins (5-6; ⬆️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +7000
In each of Mike McDaniel’s first two seasons, Miami started hot and faded down the stretch. How ironic would it be if the 2024 Dolphins became “the scary team no one wants to play for” in the final month of the season? They might make me a believer if they can win a cold weather game on Thanksgiving night in Green Bay.
16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6; ⬆️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +5500
Despite a sub-.500 record, Next Gen Stats says the Pirates have a 53% chance of making the playoffs. They can thank their schedule for that. Tampa Bay plays the 7-4 Chargers in Week 15. Its other five opponents are a combined 16-39.
17. houston texas (7-4; ⬇️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +3000
Texans see signs of problems even when they are winning, so it is not surprising that they can sometimes lead to catastrophic losses. Hopefully, Nico Collins Houston can come out of this tight spot while continuing to bounce back, because everything else about the Texans’ offense is atrocious right now.
18. Cincinnati Bengals (4-7; ↔)
Super Bowl Odds: +8500
Another week, another chance for the Bengals to take on a playoff team and announce to the league that they are ready to go. If this sounds familiar, it’s because I’ve written it five or six times this season, and we’re still waiting for Cincinnati to find out.
19. San Francisco 49ers (5-6; ⬇️ 4)
Super Bowl Odds: +5000
If you choose to believe the nerds, the 49ers’ playoff odds dropped to 17% in the wake of their lopsided loss at Lambeau Field. It’s hard to fully accept that given the amount of talent still on this team, but we’ve been saying that for months. And if Brock Purdy isn’t available for this weekend’s trip to Buffalo, the curtains might be.
20. Chicago Bears (4-7; ⬆️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
Any realistic chance the Bears have of making the playoffs is probably out the window, but I haven’t felt better about this team all year. They have to learn how to finish, but Chicago has pushed contenders to the brink in consecutive weeks, and Caleb Williams It looks like a man, with a capital “D”. This is more important in the big picture than a wild card spot.
21. Los Angeles Rams (5-6; ⬇️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +10,000
It wasn’t surprising to see the Eagles bullying the Rams at the line of scrimmage, but it was getting down to speed. Los Angeles could be a very interesting team if Matthew Stafford He has the time and space to work, but that hasn’t happened consistently this season. Here we assume that won’t happen against playoff-caliber opponents.
22. Indianapolis Colts (5-6; ⬇️ 1)
Super Bowl odds: +29,000
The Colts left a lot of play on the field against Detroit on Sunday, and it cost them a chance to give the Lions a much closer game. But do you know what? that’s ok. At least those mistakes went toward the greater cause of helping the young quarterback develop.
23. Carolina Panthers (3-8; ⬆️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
Moral victories are permissible when you have been through just as much hell Bryce Young And the Panthers have it. I’m sure it hurts to let the Chiefs get away with it after playing such an inspired game, but this didn’t look like an NFL team two months ago. Take what you can get, I hope Young can keep it up.
24. New Orleans Saints (4-7; ⬇️ 1)
Super Bowl odds: +34,000
Saints fans will be mad at the Rams forever after 2018, and a win over Los Angeles next weekend could put New Orleans back in the wild card conversation. A match between two losing teams may not seem attractive at first glance, but it can be a really good match.
25. Tennessee Titans (3-8; ⬆️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
I don’t know what the future holds Will Levisbut on a recent afternoon, it was really fun to see him respond to a blunder by rallying the Giants to an upset victory.
26. Cleveland Browns (3-8; ⬆️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
It’s really strange how the Browns have become such a functional and fun football team after making a quarterback switch in each of the last two years. This year, it may be too late for any kind of playoff, but at least Cleveland should be entertaining the rest of the way.
27. Dallas Cowboys (4-7; ⬆️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
On paper, Cowboys-Commanders looked like one of the most boring and pointless matchups of the 2024 season. Go figure: It turned into one of the most crazy, memorable games in recent memory. What Dallas did may not have been a sustainable formula for success, but so what. It sure was fun.
28. New England Patriots (3-9; ⬇️ 3)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
Drake May It’s fun, but the Patriots aren’t currently ready to win a shootout. So, when their defense allowed four points on Miami’s five possessions in the first half, you had a good idea where things were headed.
29. New York Jets (3-8; ⬆️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +55,000
So, the Jets general manager is the latest to leave, and now there is speculation about his health Aaron Rodgers This has been the season. Just a hunch, but I’m not sure if I bought that week’s vacation, it would make the planes look rested or refreshed.
30. New York Giants (2-9; ⬇️ 2)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
I honestly don’t think let Saquon Barkley Walking was the Giants’ biggest mistake. The big issue was winning enough games last December to push themselves out of the loop for a franchise-changing quarterback like Jayden Daniels Or Drake May. Judging by their performance against Tampa Bay, they appear to have taken that lesson to heart.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9; ⬆️ 1)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
Every day in the NFL, we see things that shock and amaze us. But even in a week that saw the favorite lose by 10 points at home, I don’t know if there’s anything more surprising than Doug Pederson surviving the Jaguars’ bye week.
32. las vegas raiders (2-9;⬇️6)
Super Bowl Odds: +100,000
Despite his inconsistency, Gardner Mincio was still probably Vegas’ best hope for winning games. And now the season has ended with a broken collarbone. It’s entirely possible the Raiders pick No. 1 overall when it’s all said and done.
