There could be a game of musical chairs in the White House briefing room, it seems Trump Some traditional media reporters may be replaced by podcasters.
Donald Trump Jr He was chatting with Cohost Michael Knowles on his podcast, “Triggered With Donald Trump Jr.”, when the topic came up.
“I was on the plane with my dad…and we were talking about the podcast world and some of our friends and Rogan and guys like you,” Don Jr. said. The talk was about adding them, as well as other podcasters and other non-traditional media types to the briefing room.
“This is going to blow some heads,” Don said.
The thing is… there are only 49 seats in the room, so someone has to leave if Trump succeeds in changing. The White House Correspondents’ Association is responsible for allocating seats, but it’s not a stretch to think that Trump can say it’s his White House and will do whatever he wants. During his first term, he banned a CNN reporter from the briefing room, but a judge forced him back.
Trump Jr. has complained about the New York Times and other media outlets that he says act as an arm of the Democrats, so changing them is fair game.
So Theo VaughnUndertaker and other podcast bros can be front and center in daily briefings.
