To increase the income of farmers in Bihar, the government is focusing on spice cultivation. Apart from this, in order to encourage spice cultivation in the state, emphasis is being placed on cultivation of coriander and fenugreek under the spice seed scheme. Under this, the government gives 50 percent subsidy to farmers. Under this scheme, farmers can earn good income by growing coriander and fenugreek.
50 percent subsidy will be provided for cultivation of coriander and fenugreek under the spice seed scheme, the Bihar government, directorate of horticulture, agriculture department said in a post on social media platform ‘X’ i.e. teacher. This is a golden opportunity to increase farmers’ income. Under the Spices Seed Scheme 2024-25, farmers will get a subsidy of Rs 15,000 per hectare.
